Vidrio for Windows v0.17: multi-display support! 🖥️🖥️
08 Dec 2020
Previously, Vidrio for Windows would appear on your "primary display". But you screencast wizards love your screens and want Vidrio on all of them! Vidrio for Windows v0.17 now has a drop-down where you can select the display you want Vidrio to appear on. (And if you record your screen, it will record that display.)
The control window has also been updated. The new two-column format should fit better on shorter screens, and the controls have been grouped more logically.
Smaller features, bugs, and improvements:
- The camera video is constrained to fit on the display. Previously, you could drag the video entirely off the display, in which case there was no way to get it back!
- “Automagic” background removal now has its own config sliders, instead of (ab)using the chroma key config sliders.
- Resolution configuration is now more precise, e.g. “1080p” instead of “higher resolution”.
- Vidrio tries not to crop lower resolution video. (However, you may still experience cropping at lower resolutions, because webcams commonly crop the full-resolution video to produce a lower resolution option.)
